Pics coming soon!

So I just received word from a friend I met through FB that pics of Natalee will be here in a couple weeks!!

She is currently there adopting and was unexpectedly able to visit the CWI. She asked to visit with her so they took them in to see her and woke her from a nap. She began to cry a bit. Gosh, that sounds like one of my brothers and sis in laws kids...they hate to be bothered after napping!!! Lol! She said she is SO cute. Her nanny told them that she is always happy and smiling! Yay! I can't wait to have that joyful angel here in my arms!!

Prayers for my friend and her family as they adopt 2 orphans during their stay in China. The weather has been difficult in several areas due to flooding so we pray for safe travels for them and all involved!

Paperwork Frenzy

So we spent several hours over the weekend completing the forms necessary to send back with our signed LOA. I came home at lunch break on Monday to pick up our package....

which included our letter of acceptance. We checked "ACCEPT!!!!!" It didn't exactly word it that way but basically :)

We quickly got all forms required and overnighted them all back with the signed LOA. Now we wait for our I800 approval which could take about a month.

Yesterday we worked on completing our applications for our China Visas. I submitted those today.

It has been a whirlwind the past few days just trying to get all paperwork correct and sent out in a timely manner. I have learned one important detail about adoption. Hurry up and submit paperwork then wait....receive an approval, submit more paperwork in a hurry and wait again. And it keeps going!!

I'm so glad it is in this process though! What a blessing!

We got it yesterday!!!! We are so blessed!

Karla says to expect travel in mid October. This is during China's Trade Fair so this will be quite the experience!

As soon as we receive the official letter via overnight delivery, we will send away for our 1800 approval.

Pray specifically for the fatherless today. It's been heavy on my heart thinking about how many orphans are out there and only we can speak for them!

Not much longer now!!!

Sleepless nights

I have not been sleeping well at all. I'm sure it's nerves but whatever the case it's causing me to have weird dreams. I never dream, or remember them, unless I sleep restlessly. So the other night I dreamt I had my clutch and for for some unknown, never going to happen reason I had my passport, birth certificate, social security card along with drivers license all in it. Well it got stolen in my dream. I of course panicked because it would be impossible to gather those original documents prior to our trip! All I could think about was another setback.

I. Need. Sleep.

Natalee's high chair

My grandmother gave us this old wooden chair that needed a little tlc. Jeremy and I fixed some nails, added some glue, painted it, and it's a beauty! I need to add a cushion and maybe a belt and it's complete. I love older pieces so I was thrilled about this instead of buying a new high chair.

We are on Day 90 now. Still no word on our LOA but I feel like it is within a couple of weeks. Looks like travel might be in October but we will know more when we receive our LOA.

Care Package

I realized that I forgot to post the picture of the items we sent in our care package! We haven't heard back from the orphanage yet but we know the package made it to China.

Order time!

I am placing an order for our fundraising t shirts. This will probably be the last order placed since we hope to travel in a few months.

We are trying really hard to push our final fundraisers to make sure we have enough money raised for travel. The price is uncertain until we actually receive our travel arrangements which could be 2 weeks to 1 month in advance.

If you don't have a shirt, please order now! They are really cute for both male and female! For just $15.00 you can have this....(pic is of back of shirt)

By the way, all the cool people are wearing them so don't miss out!!

If you'd like a shirt to help bring Natalee Grace home, email me at sarann4481@aol.com

I'm so ready!

It's been so stressful the past few weeks. To be honest I'm not sure if it's any different than my life always has been. Maybe I just think its stressful because I'm on edge. I normally can handle situations with ease and at the most after some talks about it with Jeremy or Mom. This week my mood seems angrier or a better word would be reactive. I know it all leads back to this is Day 81 and our LOA can't get here fast enough!

I'm so frustrated with myself. Ive managed to make it through several unsuccessful fertility attempts 4 years ago and we have been working on this adoption for almost 2 years. Why would I start reacting now? I have been so strong for all these years until now.

I am being very selfish so I need prayers! Please also continue to thank God for the sweet care that Natalee Grace seems to be receiving! Looking at her smile in the picture makes a momma proud!

Wow

The baby registering thing is completely overwhelming. As I'm trying to select items I look over at the children throwing fits and laying in the floor crying. I only wish I could join them.

Before scanning an item, I have 50 questions in my head. Is this too expensive? Is this safe? Is this something the parents should buy and not ask for? Most importantly, what does a 2 year old need???!!!

I have now registered at 3 locations. I am certain that I haven't selected all that I need and some selected I probably don't need. I only hope those purchasing will just know what we need!!

Much love,
